A family passion
The Lasnier, Villatte and today Grebet families have followed one another on the Rabichattes estates for over 150 years. From an early production of bulk wines, the estate has been developing bottled wine since the mid-1950s.
Recognized and rewarded many times, the quality of these wines has continued to improve over the years, to become a benchmark for Center Loire and Burgundy-Loire wines.
The adventure goes on
It is Fabrice and Vincent who took over from their parents, Gérard and Nicole, with the ambition of maintaining a high level of quality standards. To do this, the estate has invested in recent years in a new winery, a reception of grape harvests by gravity and the renovation of the tasting room.
For more than 10 years, the estate has not used pesticides or chemical weedkillers, with the objective of an organic certification in 2023.

Why Rabichattes ...
It was for a long time a family mystery. Today we know that it comes from the old local dialect which indicated a gathering link for deer. No doubt where our cellar is today.
